Over the way, West Lake (Xi Hu) International Music Festival returns on October 26th-27th with a rather enticing line-up that features Carsick Cars, SoundScape (who are also playing in Shanghai on the 3rd November), and Deserts Chang. Ticketing prices – at 250 yuan pre-sale for 2 days entry, 150 yuan pre-sale for 1 day entry and 180 yuan at the door for 1 day entry – are pretty friendly, and likely to draw the Shanghai crowd. Oh, and the festival’s organizers win the prize for jazziest poster. Another interesting feature is a custom event app, a great way to add value to any festival experience (if it’s worth the investment).
