We erred when we claimed that Mao Live in Shanghai would be closed soon and reopening March/April time (HERE).
According to the good Mao people themselves, they will be open for business at Red Town until they are ready to move to the new Baiyulun venue. At that point, there will be a deathly hush for a couple of weeks as they move equipment 20 blocks or so across town.
They get the keys to the new joint this month and will start renovating shortly. They aim to be up-and-running early March, sooner if possible…
