The inaugural InMusic Festival has been hit by some last minute problems. They have just announced that two of the bigger name Taiwanese artists have been refused performance permits. So, for reasons yet unknown, Tizzy Bac and Wang Fu will not be making the trek to Zhangbei.

On top of this, headliner Tricky will not play until midnight on Sunday night, which could cause problems for those needing to return to work on the Monday.

Never on the Tricky’s myspace page you could read he comes in China.
Rather, he had a date on saturday night in Japan, and a date on Monday in Europe, so it was impossible (since the beginning) he comes in Beijing on sunday night!

    It was a fantasy.

The most funny in this story is there’s no ‘journalist’ in China who wrote the festival presents TRICKY but it’s strange the date is not mentionned on TRICKY’s official website!

I think this is the best way for a festival to kill himself.

  • Agreed – could it be a clear and tangible sign of the promoter’s expertise in producing successful festivals?
