the Eagles are swooping in

We are in amazing headlining form – the Eagles swoop in – how did we think of that? It must be all the turkey we are thinking about eating.

Anyway, we can’t remember why we didn’t talk about the Eagles in China a while back. There were various stories swirling around, one that even included Jon Krane (ex Emma, ex Ticketmaster) returning and putting an offer together with Jacky Cheung’s manager Florence Chan. In any case, there was a big back and forth about who had the show, why they had it and we even came across a PR company claiming that they were doing the Eagles. Livenation managed to get that website closed down in a matter of hours, but we nabbed a screen shot for you all.

PR company claims the Eagles tour in China

Chinese PR Company claims lots of thingsWe digress.  The news today is that the Eagles are coming to China in March. The press release in full from Livenation

The Eagles will perform at Shanghai Mercedes-Benz Arena and Beijing Wukesong Arena on March 9 Wednesday and March 12 Saturday as part of their “Long Road Out of Eden World Tour.”   Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, 22nd December

Perhaps Livenation will make it part of the JUE Festival. :-)

We may or may not be posting again before Christmas. Something heartwarming and beautiful has come across our desk that we may or may not be able to share. In any case, happy Christmas people. It’s been another massive year. Roll on 2011.

  • MetroTokyo

wow – I was once a stage hand for the Eagles at a concert in Cologne. I came late to the concert and missed their first song: “Hotel California” After that I didn´t know any other song of their something close to 3h set. But they had a break at around 1:30h and a nice voice in the arena said: Please enjoy our 15 minute break with some refreshments from the bar. I think it is a great choice for China;) Bud don´t come late…
