Suede in Beijing

For the first time since their 2003 performance in Chaoyang gymnasium, Suede returned to China to reward their patient fans. There is a new promoter in town and they have decided to put Suede, James Blunt and Sum41 (all with incredibly large offers) in incredibly large rooms, irrespective of whether or not there is actually an audience to fill said rooms.

And so to Suede Beijing. Really, our beloved Public Seccy Bros. make these show not a whole lot of fun. Apparently at least 5 songs from the rest of the Asian tour weren’t played in China (OK MoC fault there), but also nobody was allowed to even move in the Workers stadium last night. Whenever someone tried to stand, they were shooed down by the very officious officials and if they were ignored, then they were actually forceably sat down. Then came a brave soul, who stormed the stage singlehandedly. Check out the overzealous reaction at about 3 minutes 30 in the video below.

Doesn’t look much fun, does it?
