Remember Show of Peace? Where did it go?

Well, honestly, we don’t know, but in the meantime, Rick Garson and his band of merry men and women have embarked on another project. This time, they are set to bring the American sport of Rodeo to China with an 8 day extravaganza in the Bird’s Nest later on this year. From the site:

Rodeo China features an historic 8-day Rodeo event to be held in Beijing, China live from the Bird’s Nest Stadium from October 8th – 15th 2011.  Rodeo China will feature the best talent in rodeo today and will have an $8 million prize purse, the LARGEST PRIZE PURSE EVER.  China will witness a rodeo extravaganza featuring bull riding, steer roping, barrel racing, and much more.

Rodeo China will be viewed by an estimated 2 billion people on TV, over the Internet, and through New Media. This will be an historic event as the FIRST EVER RODEO STAGED IN CHINA AT THE BIRD’S NEST, made famous by the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
